Mentschmaker, Mentschmaker, Make me a Mentsch

What does it mean to be a Mentsch? Through this program, we enter the realm of “Middot”- moral virtues or character traits- such as Compassion, Truth, Humility, Justice, Gratitude and more. Using dynamic hevruta (paired) learning, suggestive poetry and evocative collage art, we address the deepest issues of personality development and values. Participants explore middot that are meaningful to them by creating their own poetry and collages. This program is particularly suited for inter-faith or inter-denominational groups, as well as inter-generational family groups and leadership groups.

Kol HaOt imparts Jewish values, texts and history through a creative synthesis of the visual and performing arts.

We believe that harnessing the arts, via our interactive programs, is a necessity, not a luxury, and is an effective model for Jewish education, identity and community.
