Teacher Institute for the Arts

webstrip of circles negkh (1).png

The exploration of Jewish texts and values through the visual arts is one of the most powerful ways to cultivate creativity, and to implant intimate connections to Judaism. The Teacher Institute for the Arts has been established to train and enable Jewish day schools in North America to integrate the visual arts into formal Jewish education.

Our goals include:

  • Stimulating innovation

  • Encouraging new initiatives

  • Developing sustainable educational and instructional resources at Jewish day schools throughout North America

Select school teams are chosen for the Institute, consisting of one or two Jewish studies teachers, along with one or two art teachers. The Institute provides them with the tools to integrate the arts into their school’s Jewish studies curriculum, and to create and implement a creative, arts-based project.

Contact admintiarts@kolhaot.com for more information and to apply.

Kol HaOt imparts Jewish values, texts and history through a creative synthesis of the visual and performing arts.

We believe that harnessing the arts, via our interactive programs, is a necessity, not a luxury, and is an effective model for Jewish education, identity and community.
